New owners of Second Hand Sam’s plan community events

Rio Rancho’s Second Hand Sam’s will be hosting a community garage sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23.
Second Hand Sam’s is an indoor flea market at 1020 Veranda Drive, just south of Southern Blvd.
Anayely and Jeremy May became owners of Second Hand Sam’s last July and hope to have more events as the weather continues to get warmer.
The Mays are proud to own what they call “Rio Rancho’s first indoor mall.”
“We have 30 local vendors inside,” Jeremy May said. “We are family owned and locally born; open every day except Monday, located behind Sal-E-Boy’s.”
And after the garage sale, they will be hosting a crafts fair April 6.
“We want to be here for the community to help spread people’s businesses and give back,” Anayely May said. “We have been buying and selling and ‘garage selling’ for years along with being a vendor in the market and having our own craft business.”
According to Jeremy May, anything can be sold during the garage sale, and the craft fair will be limited to only handmade items.
