Intel named top employer for career growth in NM
RIO RANCHO — Intel Corporation in the City of Vision has another distinction under its belt.
It was named as the best employer for career growth, an Oct. 29 release states.
A Careerminds poll of 3,002 employees named three New Mexico employers that are best for career growth, including Intel.
“Intel stands out in the survey as one of New Mexico’s most important technology employers, operating a major semiconductor facility in Rio Rancho,” it reads.
Staff, in the survey, point to extensive technical training and leadership development that support advancement in advanced manufacturing.
“Intel remains a company where career growth is aligned with the future of high-tech innovation,” it states.
One of the things Careerminds looked for was “upskilling,” a career strategy that teaches employees more as they move up.
“Upskilling isn’t just a buzzword — it’s a career survival strategy. The pace of change in most industries means that what was cutting-edge five years ago is often outdated today. By learning new skills, you stay relevant, competitive, and open to opportunities that might otherwise pass you by,” the release states. “It also signals to employers that you are adaptable and forward-thinking, qualities that carry weight no matter your field. In many cases, upskilling can be the difference between plateauing and progressing.”
