Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa has received the 2024 Award of Excellence from Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine, a leading publication for event and meeting planners.

The award winners are nominated by meeting planners who vote for their favorite hotels and resorts for functions.

“We are delighted to receive the prestigious Award of Excellence from Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine,” said Chrisie Smith, director of sales, marketing and events at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa. “Being recognized as a top meeting destination is a true honor and a testament to the exceptional meeting and event experiences our team delivers at our resort.”

The judging criteria for hotels and resorts was:

  • Outstanding accommodations, meeting facilities and updated technology.
  • High-quality food and beverage functions.

  • Superior service.

  • Excellent setups and arrangements for social functions.

  • Exceptional ambience.

  • Convenient and accessible location.

Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa features 25,000 square feet of outdoor and 29,000 square feet of indoor meeting space. Venues include the Cottonwood Pavilion, a pavilion with floor-to-ceiling windows that can be opened for indoor/outdoor purposes. Planners can also select from the House of the Hummingbird, a 7,500-square-foot lawn surrounded by a replica of indigenous ruins of the Native American pueblo; the Sunrise Amphitheater, a natural outdoor amphitheater; and the Tamaya Ballroom, a 12,000-square-foot ballroom which can be portioned into eight separate rooms; and the Puma and Wolf rooms, which offer floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Sandia Mountains.

Groups have access to several on-site activities including trail rides from the Stables at Tamaya where guests can explore the banks of the Rio Grande, the bosque cottonwood forest and cultural sites, including ancient petroglyphs on horseback. Planners can also arrange corporate social responsibility (CSR) and volunteer work through the resort’s Tamaya Horse Rehabilitation program, a 501(c)3 organization that provides shelter and care to unwanted horses throughout the state.
