Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa has been recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hotels” awards.

“We are honored to be recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s prestigious ‘Best Hotel’ awards,” said Chrisie Smith, director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa. “Our resort offers unique beauty through our incredible location. From horseback riding along the Rio Grande and authentic cultural experiences, this award is a testament to the premier vacation experience available right here in New Mexico.”

The U.S. News & World Report Best Hotel awards are based on an evaluation of rankings from awards, hotel class and guest ratings. The 2024 list highlights more than 35,000 hotels across numerous countries, regions and destinations to help travelers find the hotel that’s right for them.

Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa provides several signature experiences available for guests. The resort is home to the stables at Tamaya where travelers can embark on horseback rides that explore the banks of the Rio Grande, the Bosque cottonwood forest and cultural sites including ancient petroglyphs. The Stables at Tamaya also offer volunteer vacation opportunities with the Tamaya Horse Rehabilitation Program, a nonprofit organization designed to provide shelter and care for unwanted and neglected horses in New Mexico.

The resort also features several educational and cultural experiences showcasing its distinct location on the Santa Ana Pueblo. Guests can learn more about the culture and history of the pueblo with several activities lead by members of the tribe including “Storytelling Under the Stars,” traditional bread baking in an outdoor huruna oven, jewelry-making classes, and more. Guests can visit an on-site Tamaya Cultural Learning Center, which contains a complete retrospective of the Santa Ana Pueblo’s tribal history or view the many Native American artifacts and art pieces displayed throughout the resort.

Guests can also enjoy championship golf at the resort’s 18-hole Twin Warriors Golf Club, explore five miles of hiking trails through the Bosque, relax with locally inspired treatments at Tamaya Mist Spa & Salon and indulge with New Mexico-inspired cuisine at its on-site restaurants.
