G&M to expand its health care into Enchanted Hills

RIO RANCHO — G&M Medical Center and Urgent Care announced Jan. 27 that it is expanding into Enchanted Hills this spring.

“We are proud to bring G&M’s trusted health care services to the Bernalillo community and the Enchanted Hills area,” said Gabe Pacheco, co-owner of G&M Medical Center and G&M Urgent Care.

A press release on the announcement notes that the current G&M location off of NM 528 near Smith’s has been successful.

“These new locations near the Walmart Shopping Center will make it even more convenient for residents to access high-quality urgent and primary care services. Our mission is to deliver exceptional, compassionate health care exactly where it’s needed most,” Pacheco added.

The new G&M Urgent Care will be the first to open in the Veranda Plaza, located near the Bernalillo Walmart Shopping Center at 510 NM 528, Suite C, Bernalillo. Shortly after, G&M Primary Care will open in the same location, in Suite B, and will offer comprehensive, ongoing medical care, preventative health services and wellness programs tailored to meet the health care needs of the local population.

“Construction is currently under way for this state-of-the-art facility, which will provide prompt, high-quality health care services, including treatment for nonlife-threatening injuries and illnesses, diagnostics and more,” the release says.

It adds that long-distance travel for health care will be minimized by this addition. With it, G&M will bring internship and practitioner training.

“As part of G&M’s commitment to supporting the next generation of health care professionals, the organization hosts three nurse practitioner students quarterly. These students gain essential real-world clinical experience and knowledge required for graduation, fostering a hands-on learning environment in G&M’s facilities. Looking ahead, G&M hopes to expand this initiative to multiple locations, further contributing to the development of skilled health care providers,” it states.

It adds that both new facilities will feature “cutting-edge” technology and will be staffed by highly trained medical professionals “who are dedicated to providing personalized care in a welcoming environment.”
