First Rate Plumbing Heating and Cooling opens Rio Rancho location

First Rate Plumbing Heating and Cooling opened its Rio Rancho location on Sara Road, celebrating with a ribbon cutting July 19.

"First Rate started in Albuquerque. My business partner and I have decades of experience looking to create more job opportunities for our community. We're really in the business for helping people," CEO and co-owner Andrea Griego said.

Griego added that a lot of younger people find purpose in working for them and it helps them become stronger adults.

"We see an opportunity in Rio Rancho, and we have a trade school that's being built here. There's no better place to grow than in this community. The vision here is just wonderful. I want to be a big part of that," she said.

Griego received plaques from Mayor Gregg Hull, County commissioners Dave Heil and Michael Meek as well as Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce President Jerry Schalow.

This opening comes after the company celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.
