On Nov. 30, Farm Bureau Financial Services agency celebrated its ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce building.

“As a lifelong Rio Rancho resident, my goal has always been to be more involved in my community. In the beginning of my career, I did that through education, and now I am transitioning to a different world,” owner Dominic Savinelli said. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you all; this is amazing!”

Savinelli was the man of honor, and he was the one to wield the giant pair of scissors on this special day.

“We offer insurance, wealth management and honestly we just want to help folks protect what they care about,” Savinelli said.

Savinelli is as Rio Rancho as it gets. He was born in Los Alamos, moved to Rio Rancho when he was 1 month old and has lived here ever since.

Savinelli’s agency aims to build trust in the community through conversation.

“My biggest thing is just building connections … protecting what you care about, protecting what you worked hard to build whether that is your business, your home, looking into the future; it all should start with a conversation,” Savinelli said.

For seven years, Savinelli was an English teacher at Lincoln Middle School.

“I learned a lot of great skills, met a lot of great folks, and now I am transitioning into a new part of life, and, really, I am still educating people, just helping folks protect what they care about and giving them the knowledge that they need to make good insurance decisions,” Savinelli said.
