RIO RANCHO — The Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce has added a new board chair member to its ranks in Erin Dominguez, who is currently the senior vice president of New Mexico Bank and Trust, a division of UMB Bank n.a.
“It is an incredible honor to serve our community in this capacity. This role allows me to create new connections, nurture existing relationships and further strengthen an already robust network. I am excited to contribute to our shared success and positively impact the community we serve,” Dominguez said.
Dominguez has more than 23 years of expertise in retail banking and currently oversees 21 branches of the bank across New Mexico.
“I have built a strong foundation in management, sales, client experience and employee development. My professional journey has involved leading teams, driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence and coaching staff to enhance their skills and advance their careers,” Dominguez said. “I am deeply passionate about supporting local businesses and fully committed to advancing the chamber’s mission. My priorities in this role include fostering community engagement, spearheading fundraising and financial oversight efforts, and building cohesive, high-performing teams. These focuses reflect my dedication to driving meaningful impact and supporting growth within the community.”
Dominguez has also been married for 18 years and has three children, two of whom are actively engaged in the Rio Rancho Public Schools community through sports, clubs and academia. Dominguez has served on the Rio Rancho High School Volleyball Booster Club for four years, and most recently completed a term as president in December. She is also an 11-year board member of Junior Achievement of New Mexico, serving as chair during the 2019-21 term.
Dominguez singles out mentor Paul DiPaola for guiding and inspiring her, saying, “He encouraged me to think beyond the traditional 9-to-5 framework and emphasized the importance of community involvement. Paul’s mentorship opened numerous doors in both my career and personal life. He exemplified the value of leading alongside your team, knowing your clients (even down to their pets’ names), and staying connected with your staff. His leadership philosophy continues to influence and inspire me.”
“To every member of the chamber, thank you for being an integral part of our community. The chamber staff does an incredible job keeping members connected and offering countless opportunities to grow their businesses and networks. From professional development and advocacy to business growth and community engagement, the chamber is your partner in success — and we know how to host some fantastic events,” Dominguez said.
