Barbershop celebrates opening in Enchanted Hills

RIO RANCHO — Cordova Family Barber Shop, 4351 Jager Drive, Suite K, celebrated its opening June 17 in Enchanted Hills after officially opening earlier in the year.

Joseph Cordova, master barber and shop owner, said the shop is meant to be welcoming to families in the area.

“I wanted something that was for everybody,” he said. “We want it to be a comfortable place for everybody to come out and get a hair cut.”

Cordova was joined by his wife and kids for the celebration, which is kind of the point of the barber shop.

“I want my family to be a part of this barber shop forever,” he said.

The shop offers a number of services, including eyebrow work, perms, haircut and beard services, kids’ haircuts, face shaves, razor fades and more. The services follow traditional barbering but have a modern spin on styles.

Cordova’s shop is also identified as a LGBTQ+ friendly, kid friendly and Latino-owned business.

People can book ahead of time any day of the week except Tuesday. Cordova Family Barber Shop is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Sunday, with posted hours of 6 a.m. to noon. For more information, visit josephcordova.square.site or call 505-492-9689.
