Victim identified in Bernalillo homicide case as investigation continues

BERNALILLO — The Bernalillo Police Department posted to Facebook July 30, releasing details of a July 28 homicide.

Previous reports indicated one person was killed and one was injured in a shooting at Rotary Park.

On July 29, BPD identified the male victim as Joshua Williams, age 27.

They also detailed more of the incident, including a description of the suspect.

The surviving victim described the suspect as about 6 feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a purple shirt, blue jeans that were white-washed on the front, and he was wearing a black ski mask, according to the post.

The Bernalillo Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
