Wrestling

Wrestling is finally getting going after a long off-season of prep. The tryouts are over. The gear is handed out. The teams are ready. And that all means the duals, shootouts, invites and tournaments are in full swing this winter.

To start, the boys are heading to Los Lunas for the annual Tom Torres Tiger Dual. The Cleveland Storm won this tournament in 2022 and will look to repeat this year.

The girls are staying home for their main event this week. Both the Storm and the Rams girls are competing in the Southwest Shootout taking place at RRHS.

Swimming & Diving

With football at an end, and winter coming on, it’s finally time to head indoors for the winter sports. And few things beat heading in out of the cold and finding yourself in a warm, humid natatorium.

Yep, it’s time for swimming and diving season. This coming week, CHS and RRHS are meeting up at the Cleveland Invitational, being held at the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center. Both are coming off of tough showings at the APS Invite in late November and will be looking to get their seasons on track at their home tournament.
