BERNALILLO — New Age Phonograph, a blues rock band from Oregon, will be traveling to Kaktus Brewing Company in Bernalillo Sept. 13.

The band consists of the husband-wife duo, Matt Nolan and Randi Mueck.

New Age Phonograph has been together since 2017, and their albums can be found on Bandcamp or on their website, newagephonograph.com.

“My wife plays bass and sings. I play acoustic, electric and slide guitar, as well as a custom set of foot drums that give us a full rock band sound,” Nolan said. “We bring a high-energy blues rock show with some humor mixed in.”

Since the release of their new album “The Ol’ Ball and Chain,” New Age Phonograph has been booking shows throughout the United States and Canada. Now, their musical journey takes them to the Land of Enchantment.

“My wife [Randi Mueck] and I got married last year, and so we named our tour ‘The Ol’ Ball and Chain Tour’ after our latest blues album, ‘The Ol’ Ball and Chain.’ My wife’s favorite joke is, ‘Marriage and the blues go so well together.’”

Admission to the show is free. However, seating is limited.
