Look to the skies at Ranger Read and Learn
BERNALILLO — Birds will be the topic of this month’s Ranger Read and Learn at the Martha Liebert Public Library, 124 Calle Malinche, Bernalillo.
The story “Billy Loves Birds” by Jess French Duncan Beedle will be read, followed by time with a ranger about the different birds seen in New Mexico. Participants will talk about the birds they’ve seen, their size, feather colors and their beaks. They will also make paper bird masks inspired by photos of birds found at the Coronado Historic Site.
The event is set for 10-11 a.m. May 17. The program is in partnership with Coronado Historic Site geared toward children ages 3-6.
