La Llorona is coming! Well, to the Coronado Historic Site
BERNALILLO — Visitors are invited to the Coronado Historic Site for a special performance of "La Llorona" by storyteller Rosalia Pacheco, from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 6.
"La Llorona," or the wailing woman, is a famous ghost from Spanish folklore who is known throughout the world for her eerie, spine-chilling cries as she searches for her lost, drowned children. The storytelling performance is sponsored by the New Mexico Humanities Council.
Admission for all New Mexico residents is free and free to any children 16 and younger. However; admission costs $7 for adult non-residents.
The "La Llorona" performance also falls on a Dawn to Dusk day where the site hours are extended; site is open 7 a.m. to 6:40 p.m.
