RIO RANCHO — The Cleveland Storm’s Anthony Del Angel has added another accolade to his high school baseball career after being named the 2025 All-State Player of the Year by the New Mexico High School Coaches Association.

“It’s an honor to be a part of this list,” said Del Angel, who also won the New Mexico Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year award.

The New Mexico High School Coaches Association announced the All-State Baseball teams for the 2024-2025 season, including players from Bernalillo, Cleveland and Rio Rancho high schools.

“All Glory To God. I’m just honored to represent my family and my town as one of the best in the state. It’s something special to be named All State in two sports. It’s for sure a good way to go out in High School,” said Bernalillo’s Uriel Castro, a first-team selection.

“I’m really happy and proud to receive that honor, and it’s cool to be apart of such a talented group of kids from all over New Mexico. I felt it was a good way almost a cherry on top of my high school baseball career,” said Rio Rancho’s Brandon Segal, who recently committed to University of the Southwest.

Here are all the hometown kids who made the list:

Bernalillo High School First team All-State: senior Uriel Castro (infielder).
