Bernalillo police looking for hit-and-run driver that killed juvenile pedestrian

The Bernalillo Police Department is looking for information regarding the death of a juvenile pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run last month.

At 12:48 a.m. Nov. 29, Bernalillo police officers responded to a call of a vehicle hitting a juvenile who was walking on the sidewalk on Avenida Bernalillo. The child was pronounced dead at the scene, Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers Coordinator Alicia Hernandez said.

Witnesses told police they saw the truck head east on Avenida Bernalillo at the time of the incident, she said.

The vehicle involved is believed to be a 2019 to 2024 red Dodge Ram 1500, Hernandez said.
