New Mexico Hockey Club reveal event slated for later this month

RIO RANCHO — Hockey is coming to Rio Rancho, and in three weeks, a name will come along with it.

New Mexico Pro Hockey Club announced Monday morning that a brand reveal event will be hosted at the Rio Ranchos Event Center from 5:30-8 p.m. Sept. 29.

The event is open to the public and admission is free, with fans encouraged to RSVP on the team’s website.

“We couldn’t be more excited to share our permanent identity with the community,” said Jared Johnson, general manager of the New Mexico Pro Hockey Club. “This brand is built to reflect New Mexico’s pride, grit and passion, and we hope it’s something every fan can rally behind as we bring professional hockey back to the region.”

Along with the reveal of the team’s name, logo and colors, the event will include several different activities. This includes food trucks, lawn games, photo opportunities and fans’ first chance to buy official team merchandise.
