From a Lobo to Warhawks: Nic Trujillo to transfer to ULM
ALBUQUERQUE — Former University of New Mexico wide receiver Nic Trujillo is transferring to the University of Louisiana Monroe, reuniting him with former UNM offensive coordinator Bryant Vincent, ULM’s current head coach.
The Cleveland High School graduate finished the 2024 season with 16 catches, 305 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Per Pro Football Focus (PFF), Trujillo also had an elite 92.3 grade as a deep threat and caught six out of 13 contested catch opportunities.
Trujillo’s best game of the season came Oct.12 against Air Force. He finished the game with four catches, 85 yards and one touchdown.
While at Cleveland, Trujillo helped Cleveland to three state titles. During his senior year, the perimeter receiver caught 57 balls for 1,165 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Trujillo immediately elevates a Warhawks passing attack and receiving room that was ranked 129th in the nation.
