BERNALILLO — Amfabsteel Inc. has announced a multi-million-dollar expansion.
This expansion created 40 new jobs at the Sandoval County-based manufacturer, bringing the number of employees to 113.
This expansion will enable Amfabsteel to more than double its production and revenue.
“Mayor Jack Torres; Mike Kloeppel, director of Economic and Community Development for the Town of Bernalillo; and Sandoval Economic Alliance have been steadfast proponents of our expansion, and thanks to their efforts, we anticipate that ground-breaking on this project should start soon,” said Mark Mosher, president of Amfabsteel.
This announcement comes 18 months after the company's last expansion in January 2017, which more than doubled employment at Amfab and at sister company Phat Steel Inc.
Amfabsteel is a structural steel fabrication and manufacturing company. Established in 1984, Amfabsteel has over 30,000 square feet of facilities.
